Climate activists in Paris, France formed human blockades in front of storefronts to protest the environmental impact of Black Friday shopping today.

"Black Friday is a day of intensive sales and compulsive purchases, symbol of the most harmful capitalism. Devouring our world, depleting its natural resources, multiplying eco-cides, exploiting the weakest, and widening social inequalities in the name of the myth of infinite growth. Consumerism will eventually destroy us if we don't act before," a member of the Extinction Rebellion in Paris told a media outlet.
