North Korea fires two short-range missiles towards the Sea of Japan

PYONGYANG — North Korea launched two unidentified short-range projectiles from the country's South Hamgyong province towards the Sea of Japan on Thursday, November 28, around 4:59 p.m. local time.
Both missiles flew around 380 kilometers and reached an altitude of roughly 97 kilometers, according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff. The two missiles were fired within 30 seconds of one another.
North Korea confirmed that the projectiles were launched from a super-large multiple rocket launcher system. The country's state agency KCNA says the launcher system has a "continuous fire system."
This is North Korea's fourth test of the missile launcher system, reports Yonhap News Agency. It was previously tested on August 24, September 10 and October 31, earlier this year.
Japan has yet to confirm if the missiles landed in the nation's Exclusive Economic Zone.
South Korea's military called on North Korea to immediately "stop such moves," adding that consecutive missiles launches won't help in easing tensions on the Korean Peninsula, Yonhap reports.
