Toys 'R' Us Reopens Its First
New Store After Bankruptcy.
Toys 'R' Us closed the
doors of all its stores in
both the U.S. and U.K. in 2018.
Their new parent company,
Tru Kids, announced that the stores
would have a limited reopening in October.
Located in New Jersey,
the new store is one of two
slated to reopen in the U.S. in
time for holiday shopping.
Tru Kids CEO, Richard Barry,
says the new vision for the
stores is that they will be
"smaller" and "experiential.".
Former Toys 'R' Us customers
will recall the massive size of the
stores, often in excess of 40,000 ft.

The other Toys 'R' Us location
will open in Houston in early Dec
