Bhubaneswar (Odisha): Veteran actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan was conferred an honorary doctorate for his contribution to cinema, on November 19 in Bhubaneswar. The chief minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, presented the doctorate degree to Haasan at an event.

The event was organised by Odisha's Centurion University of Technology and Management. “I am very honoured that they have chosen me. I am made of various skills that my Guru taught me,” Hassan told media persons.
