Mumbai Indians on Friday retained its core team including veteran Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga despite his fitness issues, while releasing 12 players.While releasing 12, the franchise, which has won record four IPL titles, has retained 18 players which helped it win its fourth IPL title earlier this year.

चैम्पियन मुंबई इंडियन्स ने आईपीएल के आगामी सत्र के लिए शुक्रवार को 12 खिलाड़ियों को रिलीज कर दिया जिसमें आस्ट्रेलिया के तेज गेंदबाज जेसन बेहरेनडार्फ और वेस्टइंडीज के अल्जारी जोसफ भी शामिल हैं। टीम ने हालांकि फिटनेस की समस्या से जूझ रहे श्रीलंका के तेज गेंदबाज लसिथ मलिंगा को बरकरार रखा है।चार बार की आईपीएल चैम्पियन ने 18 खिलाड़ियों के साथ कोर टीम को बरकरार रखा है। टीम ने बेहरेनडार्फ और जोसफ के अलावा न्यूजीलैंड के एडम मिलने, बेउरान हेंड्रिक्स और बेन कटिंग को भी रिलीज कर दिया।
