The World Para Athletics Championships 2019 ended with a bang as six world records were broken on Day 9, also the last day of the event, that was being held at Dubai. All in all, the fortnight saw 50 World Records being broken – 16 more than the mark of 34 world records that had been made in the last edition in London, 2017. China topped the medals tally with 25 gold medals, while Brazil and Great Britain earned 14 and 13 golds to finish second and third respectively. India finished at 23rd spot with nine medals, including two gold and two silver – their best-ever finish at the World Para Championships.

विश्व पैरा एथलेटिक्स चैम्पियनशिप में भारत ने नौ दिन की प्रतियोगिता में 24वें स्थान पर रहकर अपना अभियान समाप्त किया। इसके साथ ही भारत ने अपने सबसे ज्यादा पदक जीतने का भी रिकॉर्ड कायम कर दिया है जिसमें कुल मिलाकर नौ पदक जीते गए हैं। इससे पहले लंदन 2017 भारत का अब तक का सबसे अच्छा प्रदर्शन था, जहां पैरा एथलीट संयुक्त रूप से 34वें स्थान पर पांच पदक (एक स्वर्ण) के साथ समाप्त हुए थे। यहां, भारत ने टोक्यो 2020 पैरालिम्पिक्स में 13 क्वालीफाइंग स्पॉट हासिल करने के साथ कुछ चौथे स्थान के अलावा दो स्वर्ण, दो रजत और पांच कांस्य जीते।
