Flashmob to save famous St Petersburg Bank Bridge golden griffin statues

Students in Saint Petersburg held a flashmob to protest against damage to the city's famous Bank Bridge golden griffin statues.
The 'U Can't Touch This!' protest involved them dancing to MC Hammer's hit of the same name.
The students, from the nearby Saint Petersburg's State University of Economics, are concerned about both deliberate vandalism and less intentional damage to the statues, caused by tourists and others climbing on them or just touching their golden wings for luck -- a local custom.
The statues at the bridge over Griboedov Canal were restored a year ago but have already suffered significant damage.
