Rohit Sharma was seen doing catch practice during lunch break of the second innings on day 3. Earlier, Rohit Sharma had failed to take an easy catch of Mushfiqur rahim at slip cordon. Rahim got life in second innings also. In the 27th over of the innings, Rohit Sharma took a beautiful catch of Mahmudullah at slip cordon and then he thanked fielding catch R Shridhar.

लंच ब्रेक के बाद बांग्लादेश की टीम बल्लेबाजी के लिए आई. तो 27वें ओवर की तीसरी गेंद पर रोहित ने महमुदुल्लाह का एक लाजवाब कैच लपका. आउटसाइड ऑफ़ स्टंप पर शमी ने बॉल फेंका, बल्ले का बाहिरी किनारा लेते हुए गेंद सीधे रोहित के हाथों में चली गयी. इस बार रोहित ने कोई गलती नहीं की. शानदार कैच लेने के बाद भारत के इस सलामी बल्लेबाज ने ड्रेसिंग रूम की तरफ इशारा भी किया. शायद फील्डिंग कोच आर श्रीधर को रोहित धन्यवाद कहना चाह रहे थे.
