On 15 November 1949 Nathuram Godse, the murderer of the Father of the Nation, was hanged. Godse was the killer of Mahatama Gandhi. But, even today, the ashes of Nathuram Godse are preserved. This decision was taken because of Godse's last wish.

15 नवंबर 1949 को राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी के हत्यारे नाथूराम गोड्से को फांसी के तख्ते पर लटका दिया गया था। गोड्से महात्मा गांधी का हत्यारा था। लेकिन, आज भी नाथूराम गोड्से की अस्थियां सुरक्षित रखी हुई हैं। गोड्से की आखिरी ख्वाहिश के कारण ये फैसला लिया गया।
