Cold snap hits most of Korea
Good morning, what a freezing cold Suneung test day we are having in Korea, in fact, Seoul had its coldest Suneung morning in 5 years. Wintry gusts are only adding a sharp chill to the air... with widespread cold wave alerts in place for Seoul and its surrounding regions as well as parts of Gangwon-do Province. There's also a strong wind advisory along the coast.
Temperatures will be on the cold side all day and the wind will make it feel even colder than the actual temperature but highs will hike to positive side so it won't affect your afternoon commuting. Just stay bundled up.
Afternoon highs will only reach the single digits for most areas. Sunny skies will dominate and air quality is normal to good.
Readings will rise above seasonal norms tomorrow but expect frequent showers into next Monday. Temperatures will drop to below freezing again early next week.
That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
