The world’s billionaires saw their collective fortunes dip in 2018 for the first time in three years, erasing $388 billion of their net worth. Asia was hardest hit, as slowing growth in China and rising US interest rates resulted in an 8% wealth drop among that continent’s richest people, according to the UBS/PwC Billionaires Report released Friday. Those in the U.S. fared better, fueled by tech billionaires who numbered 89 by the end of 2018, up from 70 a year earlier.

पिछले तीन साल में पहली बार दुनिया में अरबपतियों की संपत्ति में गिरावट आई है. दुनियाभर के अरबपतियों की संपत्ति पिछले साल 388 अरब डॉलर यानी 27.55 लाख करोड़ रुपए से घटकर 8.53 ट्रिलियन डॉलर रह गई। 2015 के बाद पहली बार इसमें गिरावट आई। वैश्विक राजनीति में उठापटक और शेयर बाजारों में अस्थिरता की वजह से ऐसा हुआ। मल्टीनेशनल इन्वेस्टमेंट बैंक यूबीएस और प्रोफेशनल सर्विसेज फर्म पीडब्ल्यूसी ने शुक्रवार को ये रिपोर्ट जारी की। जिसमें पता चलता है कि अरबपतियों की संपत्ति में गिरावट आई है.
