Poet and philosopher Mohammad Iqbal is called the 'Rouhani father' of Pakistan . Iqbal, one of the greatest poets of the Indian subcontinent, wrote about 12,000 lions in Persian and Urdu. In Urdu poetry, he is considered the poet of Mir Taki Mir and Mirza Ghalib's finds. Born in Sialkot in British India on November 9, 1877, Iqbal's ancestors were Kashmiri Brahmins. Iqbal's initial training took place in Arabic. Later he studied in English school. Iqbal did his BA with English, Arabic and philosophy subjects. Iqbal studied at Cambridge University, UK. Iqbal also studied law in Britain and became a barrister. He later moved to Germany to do research. Iqbal did his PhD in Philosophy from Ludwig Maxmilian University in Munich.

महान शायर अल्लामा इकबाल का जन्म पंजाब, पाकिस्तान में 9 नवंबर 1877 को हुअा था। इकबाल की रचनाएं उम्मीदों के साथ जिंदगी में हमेशा नए रास्तों की ईजाद करती रहीं। इनकी शायरी में ज्यादातर लोगों को अपने किसी ना किसी रूप में अपना अक्श दिखाई देता है। उर्दू और फ़ारसी में इनकी शायरी को आधुनिक काल की सर्वश्रेष्ठ शायरी में गिना जाता है। 'सारे जहां से अच्छा हिन्दोस्तां हमारा' का जिक्र कीजिए या फिर लब पे आती है दुआ बनके तमन्ना मेरी...हर तरफ इकबाल अपने शब्दों से लोगों को बांधते चलते हैं।
