Little boy battling leukemia needs Spider-Man to pick up the phone
  • 4 years ago
The heartwarming moment is captured when Godric, an adorable 3-year-old boy battling a rare form of leukemia, has to make an important call: to his hero Spider-Man.

"Who are you calling?" his mother Miranda asks her son while they wait in a treatment center.

"Spider-Man!" Godric replies excitedly.

Godric has been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes too many immature lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell). Leukemia may also affect red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.

Godric's brave fight is documented on his Facebook page, Godric for the win (Facebook.com/Godricforthewin).

"I'm hoping we can get Tom Holland to see it seeing as he's my son's favorite Spiderman!" Miranda tells Newsflare.

Miranda tells Newsflare that despite his diagnosis, Godric has kept in good spirits.

The heartwarming moment was captured Thursday (November 7) in Lubbock, Texas.
