Researchers to pay people $3,300 to be infected with H1N1

MARYLAND — Getting sick with the flu could get you a couple of Gs from scientists eager to study the pesky little virus.

According to WBALTV, researchers at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases are looking for volunteers to participate in a flu study, for the generous sum of $3,300.

All participants need to do is get the H1N1 virus sprayed up their sniffer, and stay a week in an inpatient facility until they stop being infectious.

During that time, researchers are hoping to glean as much information as they can from the sneezing, heaving, feverish virus-filled volunteers. Sounds like a lovely time.

Curiously, there's not much info about treatment, but it's a medical facility — surely they'll administer one...right?

Guess there's at least the sweet sweet cash. Worth it?
