Ryan Guzman is in the Hollywire studio! He is telling us all about his role on Fox's hit show "9-1-1"! You may know Ryan from his first breakout role as the heartthrob in the "Step Up Revolution". Believe it to not, Ryan had to learn how to dance while auditioning for the role. He also tells us that acting and dancing are not his only claims to fame. Ryan LOVES MMA. If he was not an actor, he'd want to be a professional MMA fighter. Before acting, Ryan moved out to Los Angeles on whim. He tells us that his road to stardom was not easy. Ryan Guzman is an American actor, born in Abilene, Texas. Though, before finding his career as an actor, Guzman was a left-handed pitcher for his baseball team at Sierra College whilst also training in mixed martial arts. Athletics aside, Guzman found himself becoming a successful model while living in San Francisco. Soon after his baseball career ended, Guzman moved to Los Angeles and found himself being doing commercial work. Through that, he found an interest in acting and decided to pursue it full time. Guzman started taking some acting classes before making his big break in the Step Up series, starring as Sean Asa. Guzman has also starred in The Boy Next Door, Heroes Reborn, Everybody Wants Some!! as well as a reoccurring role in the series, Pretty Little Liars. Guzman is now currently starring in Fox’s first responder series, 9-1-1 playing a LAFD firefighter. When Guzman isn’t starring on the big screen, he’s busy taking on the new role as a dad, brining his son Mateo into the world.
