Birthday Helping the Homeless.
On Nov. 3, former NFL star Colin Kaepernick teamed up
with his Know Your Rights Camp to provide aid to the
homeless population in Oakland, California.
Kaepernick spent time handing out provision-filled
backpacks and other personal necessities. .
According to the ‘San Francisco Chronicle,’
he also brought in a food truck.
This is not the first time Kaepernick has
chosen to spend his birthday helping others.
In 2016, Kaepernick hosted the first Know Your
Rights Camp event on Nov. 3, speaking to children
in Oakland about their rights as American citizens. .
As described on his foundation’s site, Kaepernick
hopes to encourage “self-empowerment” and
“liberation” in communities across the country. .
