Fans Celebrate
‘Stranger Things’ Day In 2018, Netflix declared Nov. 6 to be a day of
appreciation for their hit series, ’Stranger Things.’ The date was chosen because it is the day
that Will Byers, played by Noah Schnapp,
first disappeared into the Upside Down. This year’s holiday technically marks the 36th anniversary
of Will’s disappearance, as his vanishing act took place
in the 1983 setting of the first season. Last year on Nov. 6, various cast members
such as Caleb McLaughlin, Millie Bobby Brown
and Schnapp, shared a video message to fans. This year, Netflix
celebrated by sharing
a 36-second compilation
of the show’s
main characters
saying Will’s name
throughout the
three seasons. Fortnite is also celebrating ‘Stranger Things’ day
by bringing back Demogorgon and Chief Hopper skins.
