Following the tradition of past 50 years, this year also Dussehra Utsav was organized at the famous Dussehra Maidan in Choubey Colony. Thousands of people turned up for the occasion, enjoyed fireworks and Ravana Dahan.
The guest to the occasion were Shri Vyas Narayan Choubey, Veteran Journalist Ramesh Nayyer, the well-known Rajeev Vora, Senior Congress Leader Subhash Sharma, Social Worker Kondapurkarji, Gyanesh Sharma, Subodh Haritwal, Avinash Shukla, Anil Tivari organizing committee Vice President Minakshi Verma, Secretary N.C.Jain, Treasurer Joglekarji.
The Dussehra Utsav of Choubey Colony is celebrated for last 4 decades Veteran Journalist, Politician, Social Worker the very renowned Late Shri Govindlal Vora started this tradition being the then President of Raipur cooperative Housing Society. He was president for more than two decades. After him this celebration was continued by Vora's stalwart & Ex Mayor Raipur City Late Ganga Ram Sharma.
Then further was followed by Gyanesh Sharma, Minakshi Verma. Presently it's all responsibility is take by N.C. Jain.
