Autumn is back - Beatroot Tongue Drum, Melancholy Scale

Best with Headphones! Autumn is back, time for wind, rain, and troubled weather.

The Beatroot tongue drum is a very versatile one, thanks to its different tunings with magnets. This is called the Melancholy Scale, for a good reason! Besides, although it has only 8 notes, this drum has quite a wide range and offers many possibilities.

Even though the Beatroot itself has a quite long sustain, I also added some reverb which gives it a nice volume.

Recorded using two Oktava MK 012 MSO2 condenser microphones, a Behringer Xenyx qx1002usb mixing table and a H1n recorder. A camera catches the video independently, everything is synced later.
Mixed with Free Software: Linux, Audacity, Kdenlive, Synfig Studio, and a custom program in Java to detect notes and generate a video with waves from the audio.
