South Korea's trade surplus with U.S. has dwindled,... since the FTA between Seoul and Washington was revised earlier this year.
According to the trade ministry on Sunday,... South Korea's trade surplus with the U.S. was tallied at just over 10 billion U.S. dollars in the first ten months of 2019,... with the revised FTA coming into effect on January 1st.
This represents a 6-point-8 percent fall on-year.
Experts say South Korea's diminishing trade balance with the U.S. could be used to Seoul's advantage in future negotiations with Washington.
President Trump had repeatedly criticized the South Korea-U.S. free trade deal,... saying it was unfair and lopsided.
