President Trump Changes Residence From New York to Florida.
The president previously lived in Manhattan's Trump Tower before winning the presidential election in 2016.
Trump, a N.Y.C. native, blamed bad treatment by the state's political leaders for his decision.
Unfortunately, despite the fact that I pay millions of dollars in city, state and local taxes each year, I have been treated very badly by the political leaders of both the city and state.
The president went on to say him and the first family will make Palm Beach, Florida their new permanent home.
Mar-a-Lago, Trump's resort in the Sunshine State, is located in the city.
Throughout his presidency, Trump
has rarely returned to New York.
When not in the White House, he has often stayed at Mar-a-Lago or his club in New Jersey.
Trump's announcement to move has been met with cheers by Democratic New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.
Good riddance, it's not like @realDonaldTrump paid taxes here anyway ... He's all yours, Florida
