The place that belongs to Lord Krishna, the sacred land of Mathura is a power house of busy lanes, glittering shops and mouth watering delicacies. One of these delicacies include the world famous Mathura ka Pedha which is cooked using two basic ingredients, milk and sugar. The magical Mathura ka Pedha is the sweet you cannot miss on your trip to Mathura.

INGREDIENTS:

· 1 ½ ltr. milk

· 1 kg. mawa

· 100 gms. sugar

· 100 gms. crushed pistachios

· 2 tbsp. cardamom powder

RECIPE:

· Heat milk till the point it thickens and becomes mawa

· Dry-fry mawa in another utensil

· Add sugar to mawa and cook for 30 mins until it’s light brown in colour

· Let it cool for about 30 mins

· Add cardamom powder to the cooled mawa

· Make small balls of the mawa

· Garnish with crushed pistachios

· Relish the taste
