Medical Examiner Says Jeffrey Epstein's
Death Was Not a Suicide.
The financier and convicted sex offender was found dead in a jail cell in New York City on August 10.
At the time, Epstein was in prison
related to charges of
sex trafficking of minors.
His death has since been ruled a suicide by hanging.
Dr. Michael Baden, who was hired for
an investigation by Epstein's family, disagrees.
Talking with 'Fox & Friends,' he says the death
relates more to ligature homicidal strangulation.
Baden, a former medical examiner, says his reasoning
is over Epstein's neck having broken bones.
Baden was at the autopsy for
Epstein one day after the incident.
N.Y.C. Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Barbara Sampson
is standing by her diagnosis.
Our investigation concluded that the cause of Mr. Epstein's death was hanging and the manner of death was suicide. We stand by
that determination, Dr. Barbara Sampson, via statement.
The original medical investigation was thorough and complete. There is no reason for a second medical investigation by our office, Dr. Barbara Sampson, via statement.
Sampson added in the statement that her office is
still sharing information with the investigation
