Chhath Puja Special: Mother Sita had done Chhath fast in Bihar's Munger . The festival of Chhath is the biggest festival for North Indians. According to religious beliefs, during the Ramayana period, Mata Sita performed the first Chhath Puja on the banks of the Ganges in Munger, Bihar. As a proof of this, even today, there are footprints on offering Mother Sun Sastha to the stagnant Sun and the rising Sun.

छठ का पर्व उत्तर भारतीयों के लिए सबसे बड़ा पर्व है.धार्मिंक मान्यताओं के अनुसार, रामायण काल में माता सीता ने पहला छठ पूजन बिहार के मुंगेर में गंगा तट पर संपन्न किया था. इसके प्रमाण स्वरूप यहां आज भी माता सीता के अस्तचलगामी सूर्य और उदयमान सूर्य को अर्घ्य देते चरण चिह्न मौजूद हैं.
