Samsung Electronics has unveiled a new flip-phone that folds in half like a clamshell.
Unlike it's Galaxy Fold, which has a vertical fold like a book, Samsung's as-of-yet unnamed new phone has a horizontal fold.
Introducing the new device on Tuesday at its annual developer conference in the U.S., the head of Samsung's mobile communications R&D group said it aims to create a more compact flip-phone that can fit into a pocket and change the way people use their phone.
Samsung's model is set to be released early next year, but other mobile manufacturers also have been attempting to make similar flip-phones, with Motorola set to release its own flip-phone on November 13th.
