During a press conference on Sunday, President Trump said that “there’s massive amounts of oil” being secured in the wake of the killing of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi during a U.S. military operation in Syria: "We don’t want to keep soldiers between Syria and Turkey for the next 200 years… We’re out, but we are leaving soldiers to secure the oil."
