Butter London's Global Colour ambassador, Katie Hughes walks Nylon TV through a how-to-tutorial for Libertine's Fall 2013 gem party nail art. Here we go: 1. Start with clean nails.
2. Wipe down each finger with nail polish remover and shake to air dry.
3. Size drugstore stick-on nails by placing the artificial nail over your nail bed and slide it back against your cuticles for a perfect fit.
4. Squeeze a dot of glue on the back of the nail and press down for 5-10 seconds.
5. With a nail file shape the tip to a vintage inspired point but don't get carried away! Keep in mind sexy not witchy!
6. Paint two coats with Butter London's (Marbs) available this summer for a rich liquid burnished antique gold effect.(Katie personally designed the innovative nail look and created the custom shade for Libertine.)
7. Use either a dotting tool (or a toothpick dipped in an old chap-stick as a makeshift adhesive) dab the back of the nail with dots of glue and have fun with embellishing your nails with a cluster of gems and play around with different sized stones.
