North Korea continues its criticism against the U.S. following the breakdown of working-level talks earlier this month,... this time bringing up the international sanctions imposed on the regime.
The North's official newspaper Rodong Sinmun reiterated calls Monday... for Pyeongyang to strengthen its "self-reliance" in the face of rising U.S. and Western imperialist pressure against the regime.
The report stressed the need to resist sanctions... which it argues are aimed at regime change.
It said catering to a compromise would eventually lead to a collapse... citing the cases of Iraq and Libya.
