Studies show wide gap between female employment rate in S. Korea and other advanced countries
  • 5 years ago
The employment index for women in South Korea has improved over the past decade, but research shows the country is still far behind other advanced countries.
The Korea Economic Research Institute has released a comparison of seven countries with high populations and high incomes.
It found the employment rates for Korean women between the ages of 35 and 44... were the lowest among them.
The institute said that was because Korean women at that age find their careers are disrupted by having children.
