Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin had a dazzling 2019 season for the LA Dodgers,… and his performance was also recognized by his peers in Major League Baseball.
Current MLB players named the 32-year-old as one of the top three National League pitchers for this year,.... along with New York Mets' Jacob deGrom... and Atlanta Braves' Mike Soroka.
Ryu was also nominated for the best National League Comeback Player award.
He led MLB this year with a 2-point-3-2 ERA and earned 14 wins,... throwing more than 1-hundred-80 innings.
The MLB Players Association will announce the awards next week,... and the winners will each get 20-thousand U.S. dollars to donate to a charity of their choice.
