Russian Forces Appear to Have
Moved Into a Former US Base in Syria Video posted on social media by

Russian forces in Syria appears to have
been filmed those inside the base located in Manbij. Oleg Blokhin, Russian journalist, via 'The Washington Post' A pro-Kremlin journalist, Blokhin later
released photos depicting whiteboards with
a Russian flag, both with Russian and English writing,
whose messages referenced President Donald Trump. The base was
abandoned by U.S. forces
following the order of U.S. troop
withdrawal from Syria, issued by Trump last week. Russian officials
in Moscow announced
that Russian units are now
carrying out patrols in northern Syria. According to a U.S. official,
U.S. troops have indeed
withdrawn from the
Syrian town of Manbij. A U.S. military spokesman
would not confirm the presence
of Russian troops in the town.
