Trailer Released for Robert Downey Jr.'s 'Dolittle' Universal Pictures recently released the first trailer for their upcoming movie, ‘Dolittle,’ starring Robert Downey Jr. It will be Downey’s first major role since leaving the Marvel Cinematic Universal. It will also be his first non-Marvel role since his 2014 film, 'The Judge.' ‘Dolittle’ is reportedly a reimagined version of the 1998 'Dr. Dolittle,' which featured Eddie Murphy. In this film, Downey will play the role of a veterinarian with the ability to speak to animals. The film will also star Antonio Banderas and Emma Thompson, as well as feature the voices of Tom Holland, Rami Malek and Selena Gomez. ‘Dolittle’ has reportedly been in production since March 2017, and faced multiple delays due to creative setbacks and reshoots. The movie will now debut on January 17, 2020.
