The incredible scene is seen as Hindu devotees in New Delhi, India ignite a massive 50-foot effigy to mark the beginning of Dussehra festival.

Three effigies of Ravana, Kumbkarna, and Meghnad (three Evil characters from the epic Ramayana) were burnt amidst huge pomp and show to mark the Dussehra festival in the Indian Capital.

Dussehra is celebrated once in every year to celebrate the victory of good over evil. The celebration took place Wednesday (October 8) around 8 pm.

The video shows three 50-ft effigies standing erect ready to be burnt as a part of the festival signifying Lord Rama who kills Ravana in the Hindu epic Ramayana.

Fire is then set alight one by one on all the three effigies. Soon the tall structures start to burn with eco-friendly firecrackers exploding which were installed inside it.

The crowd of spectators assumed to be in thousands cheer and shout as the effigies are up in flame and crackers start exploding in sequence.

Soon all the effigies turn into ashes as people run to collect the ashes in order to store them in their houses assuming it brings luck and prosperity.
