'Ballerina' will center
on a female assassin in
the 'John Wick' universe.
According to 'Deadline,' the plot revolves around a woman seeking revenge after her family is murdered.
Len Wiseman has signed on to direct the movie, whose release date is unknown.
The director is best known for
helming 'Underworld' and
'Live Free or Die Hard.'.
'Ballerina' will be distributed by Lionsgate, who was
also in charge of 'John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.'.
Whether or not Keanu Reeves' legendary hitman will make an appearance has yet to be revealed.
His character's story will continue in 'John Wick: Chapter 4,' which
releases in May 2021
