A local train in Mumbai caught fire on Wednesday morning, briefly disrupting services on the Harbour Line. Fire was reported at Vashi Station in a train travelling from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus to Panvel. No injuries were reported in the incident. The Central Railway said in a statement that minor flames were seen rising out of the train’s pantograph – an apparatus on the roof of an electric train, tram or electric bus to collect power through contact with an overhead line.
