President Moon Jae-in, during a weekly Cabinet meeting at the top office is likely to discuss the main problems affecting the economy.
The president may call on parliament to help process bills directly related to the economy and people's livelihoods.
In recent months,... multiple economic organizations and research institutes have downgraded Korea's economic growth outlook over the slowing global economy and a fall in domestic consumption-- not to mention the recently soured relations with Japan that took a toll on many local businesses.
Korea is also projected to suffer a sharp fall in its trade surplus due to growing trade protectionism around the world.
