ABC Reveals First Look at
‘The Little Mermaid Live!’
ABC recently released the first teaser trailer for their
upcoming live performance of ‘The Little Mermaid.’ Auli’i Cravalho will star as Ariel, Queen Latifah
as Ursula, Shaggy as Sebastian, John Stamos as
Chef Louis and Graham Phillips as Prince Eric. The roles of King Triton and
Flounder have yet to be confirmed. According to ABC, the live special will feature a mix of
live-action, puppetry and scenes from the original animation. ABC, via statement ABC’s president of entertainment, Karey Burke, said it will be “unlike anything that any network has done before in terms of live-action musical.” ‘The Little Mermaid Live!’ is set to air
on November 5 as part of Disney’s 30th
anniversary celebration of the original film.
