The Center Of The Milky Way Exploded 3.5 Million Years Ago

Researchers say a flare erupted from the Milky Way's center at an "astonishingly recent" time, when ancient human ancestors lived in Africa. They believe it's “too huge” to have been created by anything besides nuclear activity associated with our galaxy's supermassive black hole.
