Notes and Coins in Circulation in India from 1981 to 2019,
1. Notes of 1000 denomination were demonetised w.e.f. January 16, 1978 and subsequently re-introduced in 2000-01.
2. Data for 1986-87 exclude figures from Kolkata.
3. Data from 1980-81 for small coins, include small coins of the denominations 1p, 2p, 3p and Anna Pie coins.
4. Data on 2 and 5 coins relates to coins minted.
5. Ten Rupee Coins are introduced from 2009-10.
6. Notes of 2000 denomination were introduced in 2016-17.
7. Notes of 200 denomination were introduced in 2017-18.
