St Therese Chapel Alencon

A view of the chapel attached to the house where St. Therese was born in Alencon, France on Jan.2,1877. The wall between the chapel and the house has been removed permitting pilgrims to view the room and the bed Therese was born in. Her mother, Zelie, also died in this bed. The prayer service going on is to celebrate the upcoming beatification of St Therese's parents, Louis & Zelie Martin the following day in Lisieux. The house is undergoing renovation until 2009 so the chapel was opened specially for pilgrims during beatification weekend.
