Bernie Sanders Undergoes Heart Surgery, Cancels Campaign Events.
The Vermont senator underwent
the medical procedure after
examinations showed
"artery blockage.".
According to campaign adviser
Jeff Weaver, the 78-year-old went
to the hospital due to
"chest discomfort.".
Weaver adds that the presidential candidate will now rest
for the next few days.
In the meantime, the campaign has canceled planned upcoming events and appearances.
It has not been revealed when exactly Sanders will be back
on the campaign trail.
