South Africa tour of India 2019: Opening batsman Aiden Markram said the visiting team is confident and upbeat with a fair idea of what to expect when it comes to the conditions on offer for the 3-Test series. After managing to level the T20I series, South Africa warm-up to the 3-match Test series with a 3-day practice match against Board President's XI in Vizianagaram from September 26.

एडेन मार्करम उस वक्त महज 20 साल के थे. जब साउथ अफ्रीका ने पिछली बार भारत दौरा किया था. भारत के साथ साल 2015 में साउथ अफ़्रीकी टीम टेस्ट, वनडे और टी20 सीरिज खेलने आई थी. चार मैचों की टेस्ट सीरिज में भारत ने साउथ अफ्रीका को 3-0 से हराया था. सिर्फ बेंगलूरू टेस्ट ड्रा रहा था. साल 2006 के बाद ये पहला मौका था. जब साउथ अफ्रीका की टीम विदेशी सरजमीं पर कोई सीरिज हारी थी.
