S. Korean, Japanese biz leaders express regret about consumer boycott in S. Korea

Business leaders from South Korea and Japan insist exchanges between the two countries shouldn't stop just because the two governments are at loggerheads over trade and history.
At an annual Korea-Japan Economic Association conference on Wednesday,... the association chief Kim Yoon said he's regretful about the ongoing boycott by Korean consumers to protest Japan's trade curbs,...adding that he hopes people can be more generous.
On the Japanese side, ( )Mikio Sasaki, said the boycott is harming Japanese firms in South Korea as well as their local governments and Japan's tourism industry.
The two sides urged their governments to restore ties through dialogue.
