President Moon Jae-in has reiterated Seoul's determination to form a joint team with North Korea for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics... and to co-host the Summer Games in 2032.
In a meeting with International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach in New York,... President Moon shared his administration's efforts to further the peace process on the Korean Peninsula.
Bach praised Moon's efforts to expand peace through the Olympics,... starting with the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang.
Bach said he hopes those efforts will also lead to the success of the Tokyo Olympics and the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics,... and that cooperation between Korea, China and Japan can help establish peace and prosperity in Northeast Asia.
