Yero Sarr: the 18 year old at the heart of Senegal's climate strike
  • il y a 5 ans
At just 18 years old, Senegalese campaigner Yero Sarr has learned that championing the protetction of the environment comes with risks. While trying to mobilise young people in his town as part of the worldwide "climate strike", an older man broke his jaw and accused him of "opposing divine will." This misfortune did not prevent the organiser of 'Fridays for Future Senegal' from orchestrating a rally on September 20 in Thiès, joining the global movement launched by Greta Thunberg.
