Health cover announced for EU Britons in event of no deal
  • 5 years ago
The government has announced "hundreds of millions of pounds" in funding to cover the healthcare of 180,000 UK nationals living in the European Union in the event of a no-deal Brexit. British workers, pensioners and students living in EU countries whose healthcare is funded by the UK would continue to be covered for six months after no deal. Health and Social Care Secretary Matt Hancock said: "What I want to do is arrange bilateral, reciprocal arrangements with each country as we have managed to do with Spain and Belgium but not with all of the others."
