Toddler scales escalator in Chinese mall by hanging onto handrail

A boy was lifted up by an escalator after climbing onto the handrail at a mall in southern China.
In the CCTV video, shot in Shaoyang city in Hunan province on September 11, the toddler clings onto the handrail whilst being lifted up.
A shop worker standing on the top of the escalator saw the boy and immediately went to help him.
According to reports, the boy was shopping with his mum but ran away to play on his own.
Finally, the boy's mum arrived and took him back.
