'We are doing better journalism today thanks to technology'

Malaysiakini editor-in-chief Steven Gan said that the media today is producing some of the best journalism partly due to technology.

He said technology can be used to find patterns in data and to tell stories better through the use of graphics, animation and video.

He was speaking at a forum titled 'Who's Killing Malaysian Media?' organised by the Malaysian Institute for Debate and Public Speaking.
