Handmaids in red robes and white bonnets walked along Piccadilly, London outside the Waterstones bookshop at the start of an evening with author Margaret Atwood that would see the release of 'The Testaments', her long awaited sequel to 'The Handmaid’s Tale'.

The video, filmed on Monday (9 September) shows avid fan Julie Fisher from London discuss the first books interesting concept, based on real events that have happened and it was scary how much from the books was being mirrored in the real world.

The eerie book launch coincides with the suspension of the British Parliament.
