Need For Speed High Stakes II is a Fan Made Concept, trying to re-create the theme of the classic 90's generation games. It also shows the evolution of video game graphics and cars over the period of time.
The main idea is to give everyone an idea of what NFS actually used to be and what direction the franchise should try to move towards.
Need For Speed had a very different, retro-based theme in the 90's giving you an evocative feel. Thrilling cop pursuits and class division tournaments. Extraordinary locations with different types of variations. Nostalgic background images and cinematic displays for each car in a stunning conceptual showroom that made you develop love for sports cars and super cars.
This nostalgic feeling has slowly vanished from Need For Speed games unfortunately. It has become a one-dimensional franchise of arcade racing with lack of details like car cockpits. The features and quality of NFS that made it stand out have been removed and it feels like any other arcade racing game of this generation.
